The TrueJury Project
Terms of Service
A civic game and a research project. Not a court, and not legal advice.
What this is
Verdicts here decide nothing in the real world. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and no forecast we publish is a promise about what any real court will do. If you have a real legal problem, hire a real lawyer.
Your words on the record
By entering reasoning into the record you give The TrueJury Project a perpetual license to publish, quote, and excerpt it, attributed to your username if you are registered. You keep ownership of what you wrote.
Courtroom conduct
No slurs, harassment, doxxing, spam, or advocacy of violence. Blunt opinions and unpopular verdicts are the point of the place and are always welcome. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
One juror, one verdict
Automated voting, vote manipulation, and sockpuppet accounts corrupt the record and are prohibited. On forecast cases you may change your standing verdict; that is a changed mind on the record, not a second vote.
Real events
Cases involving real events are retried from the public record for civic education and research. Cases pending before real courts are treated as forecasts, never judgments.
The legal part
The service is provided as is, without warranties, and our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Questions: hello@truejury.com.
